Artist description A country blues trio consisting of Harmonica, Guitar & Percussion around the trio sounds that were created when the more acoustic country blues were taken to the big cities and electrified.Recorded live in the studio the talented trio draw on the eeriness of Skip James, crossed with the Excello styled swamp recordings of the 50's. Given all this influence the band still has a sound all it's own including original tunes in their repertoire.

Artist History Formed late in 1995 Collard Greens & Gravy quickly established themselves as one of Melbourne's leading blues acts. 1999 has been good for the with the release of their debut CD and the consequent success at the Victorian/Tasmanian Blues Awards where they won- Best Male Performer (Ian Collard), Best Band/Duo Of The Year, Album of the Year, Ausmusic Emerging Talent Award.
