Artist description
Guitar rock is not yet dead. In fact, it's breathing steadily with a strong pulse in this quintet from the Skagit Valley. Their music tends to lean toward the epic with lilting notes that swarm into more forceful and energetic anthems, and then back again. The focus here is on achieving fluidity of sound as tempos change frequently during the course of any given song. The result: powerfully textured music that generally doesn't sacrifice quality for complexity. Their self titled debut album "Madison" will prove this with the serpentine opener "Black Candy" to the slow blues feel of "Remains," there is a variety present here worthy of some attentive listening. -Chad Marsh |
