Artist description
The Dekoys are an aspiring three piece punk-metal group from San Diego, California. One of the youngest most talented bands you will find, they have made a mark southern California before their 15th birthdays. Cory Gerich (15) on guitar...Andrew Lincoln (16) on bass and Barret Baumgart (16) on the drums comprise the energetic band that wrote the book on elephant training. Fueled by the frustrations that plague youths everyday, The Dekoys open up live shows and explode upon innocent crowds leaving them shocked and gasping for more. A diverse range of songs shows the bands influences: some lasting a minute and a half others up to six and half. Each flows smoothly and progressively until they reach their climatic painful endings. Lyrics like, "I will burn down the school to ashes and coal...and hang myself from the flagpole...a fictitious martyr just like the son of god...religion on the internet, fuck what a fraud" do not earn them too many gigs at Catholic elementary schools...but their musicianship, raw talent, passion and energy has landed them notable gigs with the Casualties, Eighteen Visions, Underminded, Swindle, Avenged Sevenfold, As I Lay Dying, The Virus and many others. The Dekoys are a unique band destined to leave a stain on San Diego and the world.
