Artist History Tango Lorca was originally formed in 1997 as Duo Lorca, when Christine Brebes and Beau Bledsoe discovered their mutual love for the tango. After two years of constant performing, it became obvious that a larger group was neccesary to truly bring the music to life. Tango Lorca was formed in 1999, and has quickly become known as one of North America's premire tango ensembles.

We Argentines think we have a particular and intransferible way to play tango, and this is just how we like it. TANGO LORCA has a way of interpreting tango like an argentine; "throwing sounds" like "a Buenosairean would throw them" which invites us to "throw steps."
