Artist History Well Oversteet started in November of 1999 with Anthony and Mike but they where short a bass player so Mike asked John the lead guitar player from his old band to play bass for them and John excepted (seeing that he plays bass alot better then guitar) So they started practiceing every Sunday after Church for 6 hours and any other day they could get together. Finaly it was time for a name, the first name was Def-x but the name fit their style so the three had to find a new name. At distric compition they decided to call them selves Reign for the 1,000 year regin of God but that name didn't stick too long either finaly John brought in a sheet of names he thought they could use and they obviously they choose Overstreet the name of the street(overstreet ave) next to their church where they parcticed. Mission Overstreet has dedicated their lives to witnessing the love and perfect life of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through their songs they open a door to share their testimonies on stage, one on one (w/ teens and adults a like), or in their everyday lives. All three members have been called out by God and won’t stop the mission of bringing souls to know the Lord until they are released by the Almighty God. Overstreet is very aware of the once in a lifetime meeting they have every show with their audience. They use energetically emotional songs with catchy hooks to plant a seed that will leave the lost and broken looking to God for their much-needed answers. Overstreet is focused on the goal of bringing the knowledge and truth of Christ to all that have an ear to hear but never forgetting “Accept them as they are, love them to where they need to be!”
