Artist History
In late 2002, ex-members of the band Strangeway (sixteen year old vocalist Nic Dobbins and seventeen year old lead guitarist Shaun Snider) joined seventeen year old independant drummer Eric Dean and sixteen year old bassist Evan Henke to form Evolved. Despite age, Evolved has been hailed by many as a "band ahead of it's time" and "young masters of the art of songwriting". The band was named "Evolved" because it became symbolic of the evolution of the music that they made, which had a much differant sound than what they had done with Strangeway. Evolved draw influances from everywhere, both old and new artists, such as Led Zepplin, the Beatles, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell, Live and Coldplay. Playing a blend of adult alternative rock, they recieved radio play when their first recorded song 'The Road' was released to the large local radio station KROC in Rochester. Moving into 2003, Evolved is working hard recording and writing for the independant album that will be released later in the year. Gigs around the Southeastern Minnesota area are being planned, including the large local summer festival Rochesterfest.
