Press Reviews
Punk band The Community Service Project shows great musical talent throughout the tracks of their CD entitled Process of Illumination. Lead singer Kenny has the perfect vocal style for singing this genre, and the lyrics are well written and original. The backup singing fits in great with the music, giving the band a distinctive sound of having screaming that does not push the music over the edge. The Community Service Project has interesting guitar lines, and strays far away from using those boring power chords that so many other bands come to rely on. The drums also vary from song to song, hinting that the drummer is creative and talented in making up new rhythms while keeping a steady beat. The songwriting is noteworthy, and the music has clean transitions from verses to choruses and vice versa.
The Community Service Project's music is of a really high quality and their CD is remarkably good. The band is talented and knows how to rock. They are definitely worth checking out so one could say that they were into them first, before The Community Service Project really start to gain momentum, which they will undoubtedly. The band plans on touring throughout the spring and summer months.
