Artist History
In the summer of 2002 Optimus Rhyme decided he was going to put together a band not un-dislike no very other. He went out on a crack fueled mission to scour England to find the freshest, funkiest, most talented musicians in the UK. After months of searching, he found exactly what he was looking for in a backwards, inbred comuntity poeticly named "Nailsea". Sern, Adam, and Stu were working in the local needle exchange when Rhyme found them, and the second they plugged their amps into the school they broke into, a remarkable thing happened. Stu's basslines were funkier than Optimus had ever heard before, Adam hit the drums harder, and Sern widdled like Van Halen on speed. When they entered the studio in the summer of 2001, they laid down 4 tracks, and their pruducer claimed they were THE most talented group he had ever seen. He likened Voice of Dissent to "The Beatles, Only better". Unfortunately after a tragic spontanious combustion, Adam was no longer a member of the band. Luckily they had heard of a Lord Samwell from Nailsea who filled his singed shoes many times over. With a new member being "broken in", the band decided to also bring in a second guitarist named Fran. This new line up is yet to gig, but be rest assured when they do, musical history will be re-writen. |

"This Voice of Dissent demo looks set to make British rock cool again. After all being cool is the most important thing in music isn't it?" - NME "An instant classic. Get a copy of this demo. In 10 years you'll be able to retire if you sell it on E-bay" - Financial Times "Too much musicianship, and not a single mention of angst. 0Ks" - Kerrang! "Fantasic" - Rock sound |
