Artist History
Began in March 2000. Two of the members, me (Matt) and Chris, met in high school (sophmore year) and decided to begin a band. Chris had never played an instrument before, but decided to take up the bass; I was a poor guitar player. So we started a band.
We recruited two younger guys (then two grades below us). We called ourselves "Methods of Destruction," but we found out that that was an 80s metal band. So we thought and went through many names: "System Reboot" "8 Ball" "19th Hole" "FarFromNormal"(which I still think is cool) and "Nothing at All" (which is still my favorite).
By the time that we were "Nothing at All" I had been going out with this girl, whose twin sister was best friends with this kid Steve. Well, Steve is one of the best guitar players that lives around us. We asked him if he wanted to be in our band; since he was in none, he said why not?
Well, needless to say, Steve's addition brought songs which required a better level of play from everyone, even me on vocals.
Then, in November 2001, the Monday before Thanksgiving, I and two of our band members (not Steve or Chris) got in a car crash, and one needed to be airlifted to a hospital. When the kid who needed to be airlifted was healthy we got back to playing, but there was tension (because I was the driver, and it was my fault). It begin more and more to seem like this band wasn't working, and our drummer was less dedicated. So we called it off, this band was over. The date: February 2002.
But a few days later, while working in the local pharmacy, I thought of the idea of an acoustic trio. Chris, Steve, and I could be an acoustic band until we found a drummer. Needless to say, it's January 2003 and we still have no drummer, but we have recorded music.
Our bands name is now Strato Nefarious (after being theANDcompany for like a year), and we like it, so if you don't, shut up. If you like our music, or if you don't tell us at: fehs4540@students.rowan.edu.
