Artist History
J.C. Anderson -
Part of the Mpls/St.Paul music scene for over a decade, J.C. decided to move back to northern MN for a quiet place to write music. J.C. has played bass with bands such as Shattered Image, Soviet Reunion, Bleu Inc, Folklords and Lil' Elmer and the Bassett Creek Boys. He's also worked on sessions in the studio for local musicians and movie soundtracks in many styles, including rock, jazz, fusion, techno, dance, ambient, alternative rock, funk, r&b, and even polka!
J.C. started playing piano at age three. Attended McPhail School of Music, Mpls. He picked up bass as a high school freshman. Since then, J.C. has followed playing styles of Marcus Miller, Geddy Lee, Sting, John Taylor, Stuart Hamm, Mark King, Les Claypool to name a few.
J.C. has always been intregued with the artistry of Matt Johnson (The The) and his ability to write/perform all the music in the studio and assemble bands for live shows.
