Artist description
Rainbow Nation is a partnership combining the versatile writing skills of Dawn Kelly and Simon Ferrigno. Founded on friendship
and a profound love of music, Rainbow Nation's new album 'Shadow & Soul' brings together a wealth of
diverse musical experience, potent evidence that...The longer you do it, the better you get...
Dawn and Simon's shared interests inform the diverse mix of songs - hedonism, saving the planet, romance,
human rights, the right to party, poetry, off-world thinking, alienation (alien-nation!).
Shadow & Soul is a heartfelt expression of 21st Century angst & admiration, blended with humour, satire, whimsy
and fairytale. Guaranteed to give you aural satisfaction. Shadow & Soul is a timely reminder that it's OK to be...
Old enough to know better, young enough not to care!

Artist History
Dawn and Simon both began their musical careers by flirting with the punk/new wave scene, Dawn in Dublin and Simon
in France. Next, Simon got all Goth in the south of France while Dawn was playing at trainee Rock Goddess in
London. By the late 80s, Simon was experimenting with world music, while Dawn dallied with folk and blues.
By the early 90s, Simon got into dance-rock on his way back to London, meanwhile Dawn collaborated with
Pete Ardron on her debut pop-rock album, 'Voice of a Nobody' (most appropriate title, as it turned out). At last,
while Simon was indulging his grunge poetic fantasies in London, he and Dawn crash landed in each other's lives.
Dawn quit her foray into acoustic confessional songwriting and joined Simon in exploring new musical frontiers...
