Artist History
Quogue came into existence in mid-2002 when the band DENY-it-ALL broke up. Three of the members of DENY-it-ALL, Usher, McVey, and Turner, reformed and began writing new material under the name Crashball. Crashball recruited Kearns to play bass and played a few shows around the G.C. Marshall High School area. After getting second place at a local variety show, the band reconsidered what they were doing. The material was good, but something was missing. That’s when they began their search for a singer. After numerous auditions that lacked the certain “something” the band was looking for, Turner met Jones in an AP music class at Fairfax High School. When Turner heard him sing, he knew he was the man for the job. He gave him a demo and asked him to come to the next band practice. That weekend, Quogue was born.
