    Artist description
Who are these guys? Electromen is formed by two top notch hi-tech studio wizards, based in the northern part of Belgium. Dirk De Boeck (a.k.a. Blue Adonis, a.k.a. Craig D. Booker) and Peter Velleman (a.k.a. Valleyman, and other projects such as, The Launch Project, Love Boots,... and who had bassicaly brought up the idea for the 2000 Technotronic release "Like This"). Both members have an extensive experience and feeling in the creation of ultimate tech based atmospheres. * Different style - One Global Sound. The combination between the commercial parcours of De Boeck with the indepth ambient guru knowledge of Velleman, yet again bring a fresh blend of modern pop-tech to the audience. The visionary mind of Peter Velleman and the mixing qualities of Dirk De Boeck brings out some electro-influenced style tracks far ahead for their time. One should be warned however: their first album as Electromen contains highly experimental, yet poppy vibes. No straight lined and simple 4-on-the-floor creations can be found here. This album breaks all boundaries, and is already creating a hype as a trendsetter for the next 4 years in the electro-nouveau scene. Their "Managing The Meat" album aims directly at a mature electro-pop audience, and they're successfully mixing accoustic Instruments with bits, bytes and analogue knob machines. More analogue influences would mean a complete revival of projects such as Kraftwerk or Human League. * From the past comes the future. Both men have quite a bit of underground DJ experience as well. As a team, they virtually "electrify" the place. Velleman, after the release of this frequently and highly referenced ambient album "Hertzhague" brings deep floaters and atmospherical sounds to any alternative party, while big basses and spheres are clearly resulting from De Boeck's former life as a club house DJ. Their choice in featuring artists they invited on 2 tracks on the album is what you could call a "casting of experienced musicians", and this is still an understatement. Jo Bogaert (Technotronic - Pump Up The Jam) brings a sliding blues guitar to the track Ambient in Blue (shortlisted for the Cafe Del Mar 8 in 2001) and Kris Van der Cammen (drummer of punk band Golden Green) adds pure power as male vocalist in the pop track "Members of The Flock". Although the album is a fact, Electromen are currently working on an additional set of remixes and tracks for live performances. After all, the true power of electro-pop lies not only in a record, but is a style that requires live gigs and hi-tech visual attributes. Expect no less than a freaking electro-tech party when you invite them on-stage. Titles such as "Chatroom Romance", "Electronic Music", "Air Raid" and "Home Made Bomb" are absolutely potential floor and airplay fillers.
