Artist History Gary had retired many of his songs, and had decided not to perform for the past 3 years for various reasons (mostly because of not wanting to be yet another acoustic artist jumping on the Dashboard Confessional-style bandwagon); however, at the recommendation of two friends (Thank you Sean and Kristin), he recorded 10 songs on his computer. Only being able to record on one track seriously limited development, and he almost decided not to present the songs. He drew from his collection of songs, some recently conceived recently, others written years ago, to compose his demo, "Geneology of Melancholy." Gary sought to create a unique sound by presenting the songs in their raw forms, so he left mistakes in, while vocals and guitar were recorded simultaneously to convey a "live feel" (Brian), and juxtaposed these with the use of remixed clips of his own songs. More songs will be posted soon, and Gary plans to keep recording.
