Artist History
Where did it all start? Evan and Michael joined the school jazz band where they met ex-guitarist Raul Riveros. Only after the trio performed in the school talent show, was the band born. The next several months were the most experimental. The PC Tyrants, then known as Losing Streak, had a ska band going with Sean Cheney (now in BumRuckus) and his friend David playing the horns. As you can see, this phase was short lived.
With the demise of the ska era, Michael, Evan, and Raul were without a singer until Kenny Saunders entered the band. Within weeks, guitarist Paul Kronk was recruited as well. The PC Tyrants had their lineup, and with that, their character, sound, and personality. For about one year, The PC Tyrants got a feel for the environment, playing shows at birthday parties, middle school dances, crime scenes, weddings, barmitzvahs, block parties, funerals, and city functions.
Vaughn Johnson came as the new singer of The PC Tyrants during the summer of 2001. And in the spring of 2002, Raul left the band. Playing their music at local clubs, parks and homes, The PC Tyrants (Vaughn, Michael, Paul and Evan) have made a name for themselves as the best band in the scene whose name can be rearranged to spell “thy pen scratt”...or "snatch pretty". |
