With our ears full of folk and old country, blues and motown, alternative and alt country and all kinds of rock music, we play our own version of rock and jangle. True to life inspiration for lyrics springs from our own lives, other people's stories, imagination, and faith. Life is both good and bad times, and faith isnt always easy, but Christ is always the cornerstone...

Artist History We're best friends who started playing music together in 1991. We just kept it up over the years, and have developed our style along the way. One unique feature of our band is that we haven't lived in the same place since 1994, so as independant artists, we've been limited to recording and select gigs. We went through several band names before settling on The Far Criers for our first CD "Pieces of a Broken Day" in 1999. "Heartmap" is a CD of some of our more explicitly Christian songs, released in the summer of 2002.
