Artist description Shred is a new, rising talent in the Finnish rock scene. It was formed in 2001 in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Since then, the musical development of the band has been incredible. Although, all the members of Shred have previous experience in playing in various other bands, it's not until now that this skill was fused together the right way. Shred's first performance in front of a live audience was at Puistorock in the summer of 2002. It's very hard to define the external influencers on Shred's music without making generalizations. Every song is an individual and at the same time a combination of talents of all members of the band. Every now and then you can pick some musical nuances of bands like Bush and Weezer, but also some heavier and darker sounds. Shred needs no further explanation - they let the music do the taking. Shred's music is not only enjoyable, but also challenging. If you listen to it carefully, you can spot many small, interesting details from every song. The real music lovers can find these little treasures. They know that Shred marks the spot.
