Artist description 'It can go up, can go down, it can leave you spinning round, Can go high, can go low, you don't know where it's going to go' Taken from Ginsberg’s own song Just A Ride, this lyric aptly describes their sound and sentiment. Combining acoustic rock with pop melodies, this Newcastle band have become a well known favourite of the local band scene, as well as turning a few heads with their stripped down acoustic set. The band started life two years ago as an acoustic duo called littlestar (featuring current lead singer/rhythm guitarist and lead guitarist). Following the recruitment of bassist, pianist and drummer the band changed name, filled out the song arrangements and Ginsberg was born. With influences ranging from folk through to rock, Ginsberg have created their own unique brand of music, which to all intents and purposes could be called Acoustic Pop. Depending on the mood of lead singer (and main songwriter) Nat, their songs can be fragile acoustic works or rocked out epics! The beauty of Ginsberg lies in the range of styles covered, whilst retaining the ‘Ginsberg-sound’. One thing’s for certain, you always know it’s them.
