Artist History Matt Rauch started recording demos of music when he was 15 years old and struggled to find a group of musicians to play with up until the winter of 2002 when he formed Acoma with Jon Sitar, Jay Balough, and Adam Haukiser. They rehearsed songs and played shows in the local area for the next couple of months until Jay and Adam decided they wanted to split from the band. Matt took some time off to write and get his head straight becuase of a failed relationship and Jon struggled to survive after being kicked out of his house. The two didn't talk for about a month, and then one summer Matt's sister spotted him walking up bloomfield ave in, Verona N.J. at 1:00 am. Soon after they were in the studio recording Acoma's Long awaited debut album "Dreaming Of Ways To Escape" The current lineup consists of Matt, Jon, Ryan Baredes, Max Rauch, and Joe Tone.
