Artist History
4 friends from the tampa area coming together to make music
Text on their eyes and portraits of colors and imperceptible lines drawn on flesh they wear out on the weekend everyone wants to get drunk and outside the kids are smoking cigarettes and wearing smiles and the music inside plays no one is sitting down everybody’s in there standing and the band plays like crashing mountains at the end of time. The guitarist is barefoot and lovely with his fingers sliding down the frets in a seizure of glorious distortion and he plays like there is a gun to his head. The drummer is a blur of movement and sounds and he smiles, eyes closed behind his glasses, and he drives the beat like mad and sings. The bassist is rocking back/forth in a swagger that is his and flailing about kicking and going down but fighting the people feel his poetry like a tangible thing and they can touch it. Somewhere on stage there is the sound of desolate and broken things and like screams they are born out of the mouth of an angel and he holds the microphone as if choking the life from it, his cries are like cold fire and burning his throat and spilling imagery like blood from a slit wrist in November, dreams… -louie castro |
