Artist History
Biography
The formation of KMB was more of a coincidence than that of a formal meeting.
I (Ken Wells) was between bands when I struck gold in finding my girlfriend
and future band mate and wife, Melina Winget. After dating for just a few weeks,
I found that Melina had a soothing voice that was compatible with the semi-electric
pop sound I was looking for. Before long, I decided to dedicate all of my time to
working musically with Melina, crafting our uniquely different Electro-pop sound.
Within a year, Melina and I had written over 30 songs and recorded our first demo,
a self titled EP including seven of our most recent songs. In July 2001, we released
our second demo including two new singles “Love Is In The Air” and the title track
“You’re The One”. Our second demo was met with great success! The Song “Love Is In
The Air” was released under ShutEye Records on a compilation album called “Ingenious
Diversions” and can now be found on KMB's first full-length album "For Now and Forever"
on KMB Records. The latest addition to out list of albums is our compilation CD "Sound
Diversions, Voume 1." A new album is soon to follow in the summer of 2003 called "Space".
