Artist description I would call it emotional/passionate music with varying degress of styles/complexity. My aesthetic is to take the energy of a heavy band (like Hatebreed or Refused), take out the sonic "heaviness", and replace it with something else - emotional heaviness. Not necessarily something dark, but something emotional - the equivalent to someone squeezing your hand tightly.

Artist History I've played in a bunch of bands since I was 13 (I'm 25). Two notable ones are Dialectic and In Limbo (www.inlimbomusic.com). Dialectic had very good material and was on the overanalytical side. In Limbo was a toungue-in-cheek, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants band. In one band we'd practice for months before gigging (the arrangement were tougher). In the other band we would start writing a song and play it that night. Big brass balls with both bands, just different approaches. I wound up touring with In Limbo last year with a DYI approach to everything. We all quit our jobs, moved out of our homes, gave away most of our belongings, booked a show across the country, recorded/produced an album, bought an RV, and hit the road thinking that we'd be touring for awhile. The tour lasted 3 weeks before it self-destructed, due to personnel problems and poor management. We limped back to Austin with no jobs, no money, and no home. Needless to say, the band officially broke up in a few weeks. We all got something out of the tour. For me it was confirmation that I want to pursue music full-time for the rest of my life. To LIVE IT. Not as a weekend warrior or a 9-to-5er. I've started recording a full-length album while looking for a band, calling in favors from my musician friends. I also finished scoring a film called SOPHIE, which wound up winning an Academy Award for Best Student Short. I'm also currently scoring a movie called FLAVORS, due out later this year. Keep in touch, as things will hopefully move in the right direction in the coming year.
