Artist description THE DOWNLIFTERS-BIOGRAPHY The idea: The Unterhuber brothers and their sister had the idea for a World Class pop band. That idea became "The Downlifters" The beginning: To realize the dream of "The Downlifters", it was clear that other musicians would be needed. Because of frequent collaboration in the past, they contacted Sven Gallinsky (keyboards) and Alex Mayer (drums). Sven and Alex agreed that this idea could be very successful and in 2000 "The Downlifters" were founded. The Line-Up: Tamara Unterhuber - vocals Manuel Unterhuber - guitars Mario Unterhuber - bass Sven Galinsky - keyboards Alex Mayer - drums The Music: The Downlifters entered Sven´s ARTIST RECORDING STUDIO (Germany), where first-class-bands such as ARIS, SUPERVISION and FABLE(B) have already produced their music. The recording sessions began and the result was a fabulous four song demo. Through Sven Gallinsky´s production and technical abilities along with powerful musical scores and ambitious lyrics, "The Downlifters" definitely showed they have the potential to conquer the world of pop music. The songs "Number One", "Go", "Infinity" and "Breaking Through" are gaining popularity in both Europe and the U.S. and have been critically acclaimed as the cutting edge of pop.
