Artist description coma matter is founded somewhere around June of year 2002.Jason (guitarist) wanted to form a new band and went searching for musicians online eventhough chances of getting an interested and serious musician is near zero.Jason got lucky and found Ibrahim who is also looking for a band to sing in it.Both of them got together to get to know each other's taste and dreams in music.Both of them was bound together at the moment they started talking.Soon after that they realised that they needed a bassist and a drummer.Both Ibrahim and Jason shared musical ideas as they went looking for more musicians to fill in the bassist and drummer spot.Jason roped in a friend , Alif , who has been playing the bass guitar consistently for a few years now and played for another band as the bassist for coma matter and also Julian who is also a long time friend of Jason's.Actually Jason tried to form a band with Julian years ago but the band didnt last long enough to see any results. The name coma matter didnt come easy.As the band was near to release their demo song 'Manipulated' online , they had to find a name for the band.A few names came up such as Atman and a few other 'disgraceful names'.Atman was good enough at one time but it's already taken by some other foreign band.So to find a unique band name isnt easy but Jason was lucky again.As he was surfing around the Internet , he read about the Coma Clusters (which is a group of stars) and he find that the name Coma is quite interesting and unique.So Jason used the name 'coma matter' to describe the band itself.A band which is like a star. Unique , mysteriously beautiful would be the words that could describe coma matter's music. Up to now , they have not found their style of music just yet.But they know which direction they should be heading to.Inspired by bands like Deftones , sevendust , Tool , A Perfect Circle , 30 Seconds To Mars , Korn , Nine Inch Nails , and a whole lots of other bands similiar to those mentioned , you can say that coma matter is a band that will shine ....given the time they need.
