STORY: (So far...)
Cretoria was founded approximately 2 years ago by
Kristian Laimaa and Peter Huss. Before that they
had been playing some kind of "stoner-metal" or
something like that. But after a while they got
tired of this so called "stoner-metal" and decided to write some more deathmetal-like tunes. Both of them had always, or, for a very long time been in to this kind of music.
Finding out that these new tunes they had written were better, stronger, more melodic and more agressive than the tunes they had been writing before they decided to stick with this and thought they should have a name for this new band.
After some serious thinking they came up with the name CRETORIA!!! Having some trouble with finding members, they went back and forth looking for musicians who were in to this kind of music. But in little Halmstad there really was and isnīt a lot of metalheads who can play their instruments in a preferable way.
So, anyway.. After a while they found some new members and everything was jolly good. But not for long.. Trouble with members again... Sigh.. The bassplayer quit, got a new bassplayer, he quit and then started again and then... Guess what!
HE QUIT!!! Peter and Kristian found this kind of annoying but did they quit???
HELL NO!!! Finally after some time Cretoria became the band they are today. And now, with a new 5-track demo and new members they are here to stay. |
