Artist History
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, there was
a band called The Whatnots, who were Ian Speece on
the bass guitar, Rob Rigney on Drums, and Anthony
doing the singing as well as the guitarwork. There
was also a band called A Lonely Teenage Daydream,
who was Sid MacKaye on bass, Mike Smith on drums,
and who ever stopped by that particular practice on
guitar and vocals. those two bands split up, The
Whatnots due to Anthony moving to Colorado, and ALTD
because... well, they just broke up. then, after a
while, Mike and others formed the super poppy quintet
Amskray, with Rigney on Rythm Guitar. Rigney then left
to pursue his other project as Vocalist/Guitarist in
the duo of Rob and Ian. Then, needing something to do
other than sit on his ass on the computer all day,
Sid MacKay offered to lend a hand as basist/all
all around show getter and super awesome dude, thus
creating The Q's. a few kick ass shows later, The Q's
recorded the Eat More Meat EP at 3102 Ladoga, creating
the first release for the very cool, and very poor,
Tripple Plex Records. Look for an Amskray EP in the
near future. |
