Artist description
Heather started writing and recording songs
that capture her straight-out
emotions, sung in a haunting, ethereal voice
with a minimal acoustic guitar backdrop,
on a four-track recorder alone in her room. While in the past she intentionally left
empty spaces in her music, Heather has
recently added an electric guitar to her
songs. The introduction of this new layer
to her music avails her of more choices
of how—and whether—to change up
a song’s effects and tempos. But her
work, which may be categorized somewhere
along the space rock/sadcore spectrum,
remains true to its origins; it is rooted in a
desire to communicate strong emotions in
simple frameworks with a delicate, beautiful
voice and an idiosyncratic sensibility. |

Artist History
Armed with an extraordinary—if hissy—demo tape,
Heather began approaching other artists and local
bars and clubs to inquire about performing live.
The response was positive: she has now
played a growing list of venues, including
Bar B, Infrared Lounge, Mickey's Blue Room, the
C-Note, Sidewalk Café, B3, the Baggot Inn,
the Cornelia St. Café, Freddy's Backroom, and
the Boudoir Bar in New York, and
numerous bars in the DC/Arlington area
and Fairfield County, Connecticut. |
