Artist description
Manic Tension mixes elements of progressive hard rock, metal, pop, electronica, classical, jazz, funk, blues rock with haunting vocals, memorable lyrics/melodies forged with synth effects,
epic guitar riffs, progressive hard rock drum beats and bass lines. This all comes to together to create emotionally powerful music that grabs your ears, your soul and takes your mind away.
With talented musicianship and an honesty that they have for their music and creative vision, this group possesses an ability to have a mass appeal and connection with their listeners which is
a constant driving force for them.
Setting out to create dramitic sounds of emotionally driven music, Manic Tension plans are to create something to grab on to and embrace for a long time ahead. They want to be able to
demonstrate their versatility wihtout boundries while doing what they love to do.
"We are all human and we all go though emotions of love, hate, anger, depression,
jeliousy, rage, joy, because we all have this amazing but mysterious mass of tissue/organ
which is our brains. I like to think that our brain is like our transister to our soul and
can uncover our deepest self that at times is even unknown to our own coscious mind. all of us
exsperience these emotions but I personally like to exsperience mine through music. All these
things that I feel and I think about are woven through out our songs and it just builds that connection
between myself and Doug and our fans."

Artist History
Manic Tension, a Niagara Falls NY Based Hard Rock Band currently consists
of Frontwoman Heather Mere and Drummer/percussionist Doug Arber.
Heather, who writes a majority of the songs as well as plays a variety of instruments
teamed up with Doug, a long time family friend/musician in the spring of 2003.
Having a shared interest in their passion and love for making music, they came together
to create a sound and a vision that reaches out to a wide range of listeners.
Since the release of their first 3 demo recordings, they are generating fans
from all genres of music and are gaining much respect for their musicianship, song writting
ability and their connection with their fans.
This could stem from the groups various influences from Tool, Chevelle, Alice In Chains,
System Of A Down, Living Color, A Perfect Circle and Dream Theatre to a lighter side in the likes of Evenescense, Sarah Mclachlan,
Bach and Enigma.
There are plans in the works to find a full time band to record
and tour with through out 2003.
