Artist description
What do you get when have a young, 22-year old female singer, songwriter, musician that graces her listeners presence with a new, unique style called "neo classic soul"? What do you get when you have a young female artist who gives you a powerful voice reminiscent of a classic soul singer of the 70's (i.e. Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Shirley Murdock, etc.) with songwriting ability to write songs that all audiences can relate to? Cynae! The five letter word that won't be forgotten in the music industry.
Cynae, originally from Houston, Texas is a poster girl for fresh new, but somehow familiar, soul. Her music targets women as it relates to the issues of everyday life, Cynae tells stories, reminisces on yesterday, confronts situations of today, and eagerly raises her expectations for tomorrow.
In her song "Down 4 Me" she reminisces on a love that was lost as a result of her being too young to understand the qualities that she searches for now.
She also has a classic soul ballad "Baby Stay" which shows the venerable side of being a woman is not afraid to ask a man exactly what she wants.
Cynae writes a letter in the song "Sincerely Me" she says: "Dear Love, I'm writing this to tell you just how I really feel about you and I never knew that love could breakthrough to my heart. But you did the impossible right from the start. Since you came my way, my cloudy days seem to go away and I have never dreamed that anything in love could ever be so sweet. Just remember you're all I need, Sincerely Me"
Cynae's music is a breath of fresh air for the listener who wants to experience new music in it's rarest form, Neo-Classic Soul.
