Artist description
Trophy Scars is a rock band tinged with melody and hardcore. The band has become a milestone in their local scene and, for only being together one year, have accomplished a great deal. They played Surf and Skate Festival alongside other popular bands such as Thursday, From Autumn to Ashes, and Taking Back Sunday. They have sold over 1,000 cds of their first album and have over 18,000 downloads on mp3.com in just 7 months. They have played and headlined with bands such as Cursive, The Blood Brothers, Beloved, Bear vs. Shark, On the Might of Princes, Regarding I, and many others. This past July, Trophy Scars recorded a six song EP, Hospital Music, with famed producer Chris Badami (The Dillinger Escape Plan w/ Mike Patton, The Starting Line, and Early November). Also, they toured the Northeast earlier this summer and won the hearts of many new faces.
Trophy Scars have mastered their live show. Their strong following makes for intense performances complete with crowd sing-a-longs and dancing. Trophy Scars is an outlet for not only the members of the band, but for their fans as well. All hearts starting and stopping to their own manic sentiments and anxieties.
For the audience to understand the music, the band must wear those emotions on their sleeves; these are trophy scars. |

Press Reviews
For those of you that listen to me when I recommend new music, then you know what it means when I not only give my stamp of approval to Trophy Scars; but say they are one of the true gems to come along. www.absolutepunk.net
This band is kind of like Fugazi meets The Blood Brothers meets Vendetta Red...Lots of good guitars...weird vocals, and unique drumming for that prog rock feel, but still, that addictive melody...Trophy Scars wins... the trophy. www.decoy-online.com
Trophy Scars have taken a step ahead of the rest with standout tracks like Dream of New Orleans and Hospital for Ghost, which show the power and the intensity of their songs. Darts to the Sea is post-hardcore at its finest. The future for these Garden State hopefuls looks bright. www.Indiesort.com
A mixture of The Fall and Gang of Four dissonance with a driving rhythm section. Dr. Sweeting Professor of Philosophy Boston University |
