Artist History With three former members, Steve and Mel have stuck together the longest. Despite the departure of their bass player, they continued to record their demo cd and will be auditioning for a new bassist shortly.

Press Reviews In the small town of Aldergrove in the basement of a house the band, AurturA jams. Carmelo Bruzzese, the lead vocalist on his Jackson or Epiphone Guitar with his Marshall amp, and Steve Booth, the Drummer playing on his massive Tama Drumset. On October 13, 2000, four high school friends, Carmelo Bruzzese, Steve Booth, Ryan Hamilton and Stan Morgan formed a band. Carmelo coming up with the word AurturA in his English class decided to name this newly formed band after his creation. They jammed together till May of 2001 when Ryan the bass player decided to leave the band. In June of the same year they gained a new bass player Dwayne, but lost Stan the drummer in the same month. The band was not short a drummer for long; Steve the Rhythm guitarist soon became the new drummer. As a result a new Aurtura was created with a whole new sound. Later on, the bass player was not fit for the band and left leaving the band to redo the bass for their demo CD. Carmelo and Steve have their own individual tastes in music, but the heavy metal bands Metallica and Megadeth have been major influences on the music they play along with there idols James Hetfield, Cliff Burton, Jeff Burrows, Lars Ulrich and the great Dave Mustaine to name a few. They have taught themselves and each other to play their instruments along with writing their own material; giving the metal music they play their own unique sound. AurturA plays a wide range of different pieces of music from death to love, but they are really into playing long orchestrated songs.
