Artist History
The Begining......A long, long time ago in a land called the 80's, the band Arizona Sun formed it's roots. Originaly called "Live Wire", three of the founding members began to take form musically. John Colley had returned from living in Arizona. He brought with him, amazing guitar licks. This inspired Andy Miller to find a guitar and try to play catch up as fast as possible to keep up with John. In the meantime, John's cousin Dallas began to explore the art of drumming. Things began to progress very rapidly in John's basement. Kelly Spears joined on shortly after. This led to the band relocating to Kelly's garage. For reasons that have skipped all of our minds, Kelly soon disappeared, so back to the basement we went. Mark Dietrich arrived and we suddenly had a new Bass Player and a new home. We would setup shop in Mark's garage. John moved to Oregon, so a replacement had to be found. We went through an Adam Curry lookalike and a Randy Rhodes wannabe, but things were not going very smooth, so we all parted ways. Once again, John had moved back and things began to take shape all over. An old friend from school, Bucky Baker, began the role of Bass player. Tim England joined for a brief stint. Dan Mclean finally graduated from college, so his job as drummer fit our style very well. Having moved to John's house, this became a great atmosphere for creating original music. So, in the summer of 1996, we recorded our album. This would prove to be our downfall, as members started dropping like flys until the original three members John, Dallas and Andy were left. Some more good songs were written, but time had met it's match. So, in the winter of 1997, Arizona Sun called it quits. |
