Artist History
The Crush Things formed in the summer of 2001 by singer/guitarist Ryan Currin. Ryan crafted his songwriting skills after the smooth romantic tones of The Smiths, U2, and The Cure. Joe Jaworski, a Berklee graduate and veteran drummer, joined the original group adding his heart driving rhythms influenced by percussionists like Bill Bruford and Stewart Copeland of The Police. Finally, Rich Nelson filled in the bottom end of The Crush Things' sound fueling the rhythm section with compelling bass lines influenced by modern rock bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, Weezer, and Nirvana. The Crush Things have never been sonically stronger as they continue to entice crowds with their emotional charged sound. |
