Artist description Theirs was a love affair that began in a church where a young boy played the drums for his mother’s choir for the first time. His name was Stefan-Eric, her name……. “Music”. This is their story. Since age six Stefan has had a deep love for music. It started with him banging away on the drums as a young boy, to playing around on the piano when his mom wasn’t home (shhhhhh!), to taking long singing-concert-showers until there was no more hot water for his parents(uh-oh!) From there, Stefan got his break playing the drums, keyboards and singing in church. Stefan later formed an R&B group, Case Closed who performed in various venues throughout the Washington D.C. and Richmond area. Stefan also founded a 20-voice gospel choir, called “For His Majesty”. All of the choir’s songs were originals written by Stefan and keyboardist and music director, Tyrell Gardner. Stefan has also served as music director for artists and singing groups. Stefan’s true passions are songwriting and producing. He writes lyrics that paint vivid pictures in your mind as well as in your heart. Though his primary genres are R&B and Gospel, Stefan also writes and produces Hip Hop, Pop, Christian, and Rock songs. Stefan loves to write with and for other artists. One of Stefan’s writing partners is Nate Smith, co-producer of Michael Jackson’s “Heaven Can Wait”. One A&R called Stefan’s music “Refreshing!!!” Stefan’s singing style has been compared to balladeer, Brian McNight and gospel-great, Fred Hammond. Stefan believes in catchy melodies that get in your veins and tight, full and twisted harmonies that tickle your ear. So where’s the part about “Music”? She was right there with him, the whole time.
