Artist History Heavy Metal Guitars. Hook laden vocal melodies. Danceable beats. Pumping bass. NEW PLASTIC SOCIETY are a high powered quartet blazing down their own musical path with their eyes firmly set on breaking the North American rock scene. Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, NEW PLASTIC SOCIETY was formed in oct. 2002 by Bassist/ lead vocalist/ songwriter Denton Bramley since 1999 in Following Horus. Despite rave reviews and a large fan base, he wanted to take his creative and performing skills to the next level. Denton enlisted guitarist Anthony Hill, with whom Denton had played with in previous bands. The newly formed duo instantly clicked, and got to work on realizing their common vision : the ultimate band fusing the excitement of heavy metal, the songwriting prowess of '90s alternative rock and modern technology. In April 2002, Denton began working with producer Jason Martin, who helped shape their songs with his studio saavy and low - tuned, ultra - distorted guitar tone (Jason contributed rhythm guitar to the initial recording). The result is "NEW PLASTIC SOCIETY" a three - song demo cd which quickly sold out of it's first pressing. NEW PLASTIC SOCIETY are now actively persuing a recording contract. In the meantime they continue to broaden their fanbase both globally through their creative use of the internet, as well as regionally with a dynamic live spectacle. NEW PLASTIC SOCIETY have between them years of live and recording experience, tools they are using to achieve their common goal - a band they themselves would want to support.
