Artist History It all started for me in '94 when I heard "incredible" (M Beat/Gen Levy) on the radio, I was 11 at the time and it was the first time i heard Jungle and I loved it. I bought a few comercial compilations but thats all I could get my hands on, it wasnt till around 96/97 I discovered the underground, since then i've been collecting every piece of D&B i can find. I got my first decks in december '98 . Apart from a few house parties my first live set was in January 2000 @ the Paradise bar in New Cross, since then i've played every thing from squat raves to boat parties. 2000 saw the birth of the H.B.S crew, out of that grew the HERBAL SOLDIERS; long time duo DJ MARLIE & MC ZINK (SKELTOR), John Roan veteran MC CHASE, freshly grown mc MESER (ASTRAH) & technological bad bwoy KOOPER. By 2001 there were two new editions to the outfit; DJ SKAMER & KASHER BANTON, that was also the year I began producing, things started to get messy! HERBAL SOLDIERS hit the airwaves in Jan 2002 on londons INDUSTRY101.3fm. We played the station for about 6 months before deciding we wasnt getting any where with it, shortly after we left the station stopped broadcasting. More recently the HERBAL SOLDIERS have played the internet station; BREAKSFM.COM, and that brings us to the present day.
