Music Style Using an acoustic style, we delve into the world of folk, rock, and other assorted styles in order to please the masses.

Musical Influences Alex's musical influences include Weezer, Nirvana, the Beatles, and Egolillys. Steve's musical influences include Jack Johnson, Radiohead, Incubus, and the Cure.

Artist History Originally formed in May of 2002, Holloway Road's first incarnation was known as Sleeps Downstairs. With Steve on piano and Alex playing both drums and guitar, the two slowly began their trek into the Ottawa music scene. Writing songs like "Duvet", a 45-minute cover of various '90s songs, and "Soccer", a tribute to our least favourite sport, Steve and Alex ventured on the more humorous side of things. After a short while, with both of their schedules differing drastically, the two were forced to take a hiatus. Finally, though, in December 2002, two duo got back together, became more serious, renamed themselves as their current title, and are pumping out as much original material as their minds will allow. With With songs such as "All I Want", "Settle", and "Poor Old Shoebox", Holloway Road is getting ready to record and release their first EP, and are slowly starting to have performances across the city.
