Artist History
Atrium formed in the summer of 2002. Those were the end of their
high school days, and they all wanted a little something more from
life. All of them had various musical backgrounds. Matt Krumpholz grew
up around music all of his life. He played in the band throughout most
of high school, and after many invitations, finally decided to team up with
songwriter and singer Barton Hill. Hill had played with other bands throughout
his life, although none really excelled. His first band "Surreal" did in fact release
a demo, however after his freshman year in high school. Ross Gebhart entered the band
after playing countless times with Hill, including a few talent shows, and local gigs.
Ross adds to the technical aspect of the band, while approching the members with new ideas
and fresh styles. Having the experience under his belt, Gebhart is the fuel behind the fire
of Atrium. Finally, Kenny Reyhorst decided to play with Atrium after taking after his father,
who was once also in a band. Reyhorst playes the bass, as well as writes lyrics for Atrium.
He adds the essential element of the band with everything from whitty lyrics, to the guttiest bass
lines. Taking all of these talents and tossing them in a blender brings you a group none other than
Atrium. The thing that sets Atrium apart is that they don't write specific songs. They write
from the heart. Every member is involved in the songwriting as well.
Although all of the members are currently at college, they plan to record
and release a demo album this summer with at least 10 tracks on it. |
