Artist History
Members of 23 Split have come and gone. But in June of 2002 the current line up of the band is Aaron Todd - lead guitar, Jen Cheatham - rhythm guitar, Jenn Winans - bass, Brad Dyniewski - vocals, Billy Halls - drums. The name 23 Split originated from the band having two girls and three guys and has stuck with the band till the present.
In mid June 2002 Brad and Billy who were members of the former band Ill Fated talked to the group and the first practice was set. The new line-up is enjoying the newfound sound and for the past few months 23 Split has been rocking out to the unique blend of punk, grunge, and rock. The band has completed a three track demo with the current members of the band.
The band has played shows at 2002 Illinois State University Homecoming Battle of the Bands - Normal ,IL; Rhinos - Bloomington, IL; Lizards Lounge - Bloomington, IL.; Dude Stock 2002 - Towanda, IL; Slum Fest 2001 - Towanda, IL; The Stadium - Normal, IL; The Coffeehouse - Normal, IL. To this date the band has played with various established bands such as: Demolition Derby, Creatures from the Black Lagoon, American Flat Line, and Rob, Bob, and Throb.
The band is set to start working on their first full-length compact disc set to be completed sometime in the future. |
