Artist History
Let us introduce ourselves. We are WINTERHAWK and if you haven?t heard of us, you soon will. So read on...WINTERHAWK was formed in the seedy atmosphere of an Oceanside garage in late 1992. The brain child of guitarist Mark Carrillo the early beginning of the WINTERHAWK seeds were planted. Over leaps and bounds..... and extensive therapy, WINTERHAWK acquired the thundering bass of Tornado Sam Hornedo. With all of the diverse talents in place, WINTERHAWK is ready to take to the airwaves, not to be confused as a band to follow the trendy styling of a Top 40 cover band. There are enough wedding bands out there already - - thank you very much!! WINTERHAWK is strictly original music!! However if we play a standard you will think it?s one of ours. With two creative individuals joined firmly at the hip, the musical range encompasses an alternative song writing spectrum of blues, rock, country, folk and humor, sometimes all within the same song. WINTERHAWK delivers acoustic rock like "Winterhawk" a metaphor filled prescription of drug abuse and self destruction, and "Downstairs Dreamer" with equal venom. Country flavored pop like "Don?t Talk About My Girl", and"Shooting the Moon"and there?s the beer snockered rock of "Wrecking Ball" just to name a few. To fully appreciate the WINTERHAWK experience, you must capture them live. WINTERHAWK delivers the goods on stage! |
