Artist description
Steve Butler is an ASCAP award-winning composer who teaches music theory, composition, orchestration, and computer technology in music at Westmont College. He earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Composition from the University of South Carolina, and his works are published through Sunhawk Corporation in Seattle, Washington. Performances of his works for art, dance and the concert stage have received funding and commissions from arts organizations such as the American Composers Forum, the Esperia Foundation, the County Arts Council of Santa Barbara, the Contemporary Arts Forum, the Richland/Lexington County Arts Council, the South Carolina Arts Commission, The Santa Barbara Children?s Chorus, The Santa Barbara Dance Alliance and others. ` |
