Artist description This Louisiana-born resident of Detroit is the newest lady in the No Limit Army. Mercedes has always had dreams of stardom. She attended a special school for the arts focusing on music, where her studies included training in classical, jazz, opera and popular music. Growing up, Mercedes has been influenced by the music of Anita Baker, Patti Labelle, Aretha Franklin, Kelly Price and Faith Evans.All these things have helped prepare her for her debut album “Rear End.” Mercedes has created an album that is hard and in your face. “Rear End” is a versatile mix of hip hop and R&B that is explicit, raw and filled with No Limit’s signature sounds. On “Rear End,” Mercedes is joined by label mates Master P., Silkk the Shocker, Mystikal and Mia X.
