Artist History Lucy Lunchmouth is an all-original, multi-styled alternative-pop band that grew up in Seattle. Their music appeals to listeners of varied tastes, and they've been described as everything from "The Carpenters on Crystal Meth" to "A new millenium Stray Cats with a Mediterranean twist." On stage their moods roll like the tide as they take you in and out of every emotion. Recently (Spring 2000) they were named one of the top ten unsigned original bands in North America. LLM began in early 1995 when longtime friends Victoriah Arsenian and Todd Koeppen began assaulting the open-mic circuit with their interesting blend of rock, blues, folk, country and soul. In '96 they were"discovered" by a talent scout that flew them to Nashville to perform on the Internationally telecast "Nashville Starseek". Award-winning producer Robert Metzgar commented on their performance by saying, "Absolutely superb original songs...these guys have 'hit record written all over them!" In early '97 they teamed up with Upright Bass player Smoke who had tasted wome worldwide success while being the frontman for The Matinee Idols. In summer of '99 LLM hired Carl Martin for their "Exfortuna" studio work. Carl was fresh off the Ontario music scene, where he'd associated with such notables as The Awakening, One Hundred Days, The Wild Strawberrys, Phoebe Jean and Distant Thunder. In Nov '99 "Exfortuna" was released and Carl was a full-fledged member of the band. LLM is gearing up for another album project. It's coming soon, so keep checking back.
