Artist description
A war against stereotypes. Edjes tries to sound a little different and be a little different, just like everyone else. The difference is, Edjes doesn't care about making money while doing it. Each song doesn't have to fit into a specific genre. It sounds how it ends up sounding like. Does it succeed at being different? Sometimes. Judge us.
Note - While I love receiving comments and suggestions and criticisms via email, I do not love soliciting. If your only purpose in emailing me is to say Hi, good job, check out MY band, then don't bother. While I love listening to new stuff and absolutely love commenting on other peoples' works, I am not here solely to help you make money. I think people should be creative and love music for its own sake. While I think indy artists should push their work out as much as possible, I think they should do it without selling themselves short. Comment to me and I will comment back. Solicit to me and you shall be cursed. |

Artist History
There's not much to it. Started off like every other band -- with some guys that loved to play music. There was a drummer, a pianist, and a guy who was willing to learn about anything. These people were Erik-Drums, Dave-keyboards, and JD-starting off on guitar. Soon guitarist Matt Edmondson was recruited and JD began playing bass. Not long afterwards, guitarist Emily Jenson played. But soon, the two new recruits found other pleasures and the original three were left to find their place in the music world. Eventually, however, two more students at the same school were invited to play along with the band -- Scott Sorbo on Bass and Emily Sullivan on vocals.
First it was Green Retro. Then A Zuccini Named Ed, then Stranger Things Have Happened, once again Green Retro, then edj, and finally Edjes.
Now Erik is in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Dave is in Freemont, Nebraska and JD is in Chicago, which means JD is the only one left (except sometimes Erik who is forced to come back from his other, money-making band to play drums)
That's it.
