Artist History econoband was originally formed back in 1986 as the Flush Boys. After a tumultuous set at the Dance Marathon, the original Flush Boys were no more. Stranded without a keyboard player and a drummer, the band sought refuge in Omar, the high school band drummer. With the new drummer, and a renewed enthusiasm, the band set forth to record 5 original tracks, which became Abracadaver. Still, acrimony existed between the drummer and the original members. Once again the band (then known as Phlebotomist) split. (Are drummers are sensitive or what?) Left as a trio, econoband was formed. econoband's philosophy was to create music quickly and cheaply. Record songs written on the spot, live with used or borrowed equipment. So, please sit back and enjoy the basement music.
