Artist History
ABstraXT is a Cambridge, Maryland based Hip-Hop/Rock band that has its
own distanced sound by mixing Rock/Metal with True Hip-Hop style lyrics.
The name ABstraXT comes from the word “abstract” meaning no direction.
Although ABstraXT’s main M.O. is Hip Hop/Rock, they follow no format in
writing their music. ABstraXT uses what ever they feel needed to get their
point across including DJ Scratches/Samples/Live Guitars/Live Bass/
Hip-Hop Lyrics/Harmonies and Live Drums all directed to an IN YOUR
FACE style of music.
ABstraXT was formed in early may 2001 by its five seasoned members
who wanted to try a new style of music. Antone “Tony” Ennels (Vocals) and
Wally “Ripper” Creighton (Vocals) comes from a strong Hip-Hop back
ground and have been working together vocally for over ten years. They have
both established themselves as two of the Eastern Shores Hottest and known
MC’s through shows, Local Media and several independent albums. In
September 1994 they obtained a production deal at Twin-Loop Studios in
New York. Chris Abbott (Guitar) comes from a hard rock/metal background
and has played in several bands over the last twenty years one of which
opened for the band Foghat. Chris has many years of live sound, studio and
performance experience. Greg Burger (Bass) comes from a funk/rock
background and has played in numerous bands. Greg has played in bands that
have opened shows for the bands Quiet Riot and Foghat. Greg has had years
of experience in performing live as well as studio experience.
Craig Pfaff (Drums) comes from a pop/rock/ background. Craig has played in
numerous bands and also has years of live performance experience. In 1995
Craig opened his own recording studio in Easton, Maryland (Bennett Audio
Digital) and has completed several local radio station projects.
In May 2001 Tony, Wally, Chris, Greg and Craig decided to all come
together and mix all musical backgrounds. The result was a sound they call

Press Reviews
Damn...this is a tight track! Straight from the start, it KICKS ASS! Good buildup from the start. The track sounds like House of Pain meets Faith No More with a little hint of Limp Biz in there. Awesome lyrics, very enunciated, clear, professional vocals...very tight guitars. The overall mix kicks ass...reminds me of Limp but with a lot more edge. Good shit overall. I dig it. Wouldn't suggest any changes at this point...Rock on. Reviewed by: XtremeLevs from Houghton, Michigan |
