The bottles were all shapes, colors, and sizes - a stained glass rainbow of polish beer. In a thick eastern European accent the girl at the register had asked me if i liked polish beer. I lied and smiled. I'm not sure i had ever had polish beer before and, if i had, it had not been memorable either. But the bottles in the back of the van rolled around and made a beautiful noise. As we would later find out, most of the beers we selected tasted like slightly alcoholic RC cola, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but not what we were looking for at the time.
