    Artist description
The bands music is a constantly evolving mass of creativity that combines influences from all over the modern music landscape, but keywords will be; melodic, progressive, intense, varied, experimental and monumental. The name "Myoclon" reflects on the phenomenon "Myoclonic twitch" that can be explained as a sudden panic induced awakening from a dream being had while half awake. This explanation, though in a different context is closely related to the bands lyrical concept, which is largely based around a futuristic setting, where the human mind, and its impact on its own existence is as blurry and confusing as never before.

    Artist History
Myoclon was founded, then under the name Mortal Maze, in July/August 2001, by Chemenak, Ezaphen and Hrothgard. Soon after joined by Bystarikum and now departed female guitarist Crysantis, the band had clear goals already from the start. Immediately after getting the lineup in order, the band started writing songs, and fuelling all possible creative processes. At the end of the year the demo "Beyond the Threshold of Circular Metamorphosis" was recorded in Ice, a local studio, and sent around to different festivals. The band did some festivals around north Norway while writing new material and planning a new recording. These months saw the dawn of a change in style for the band, from a more epic, pompous, symphonic black metal, to more progressive, thrashy and experimental, as well as the departure of Crysantis due to her relocation to pursue her education. In late august 2002, the band went in the studio, this time for a week, with a higher budget, in a better-equipped studio. This resulted in the EP "Metamorphine". During the weeks prior to the release of the EP, the band and its management, decided that the band's name was no longer fitting for the band's music, image or message so it was changed to "Myoclon". It is from this point off the band will continue to evolve.
