Artist description
Longmarch is a San Francisco-based rock band comprised of
two guitars, bass, drums and a mixture of male and female
vocals. Over the years, each member of Longmarch has
played (or continues to play) in other rock, punk and/or
jazz bands. Longmarch came together and started writing music
and performing as a group in October 2001. Our songs span
the aural and emotional spectrum: our goal is to write
interesting songs that vary in time signature and
structure, yet are melodic enough for even the trendiest of
indie rockers to enjoy. While each of us listens to a wide
array of music, some of the bands/musicians we like
include: Blonde Redhead, Built to Spill, Death Cab for
Cutie, Elliott Smith, Joy Division, Ali Akbar Khan, Led
Zeppelin, Ornette Coleman, Pinback, Pink Floyd, Quasi, The
New Year, The Pixies, The Shags, The White Stripes,
Thelonius Monk and Unwound. |
