Artist History
Soul Calculus is an exercise in collective creative anarchy amongst like-minded players and audiences.
The band's name evokes both its members' absurdist humor and an intuitive logic by which music speaks directly to the soul. The players improvise completely new music on the spot, challenging themselves and their bandmates to run up and down an improvisational tightrope without the safety net of compositions. |

Group Members
Formed by members of Tautologic as a free improvisation counterpart to the densely orchestrated pieces played in Tautologic, the
band now comprises Ethan Sellers (keys, guitar), Pat Buzby (drums), Brian Garibaldi (bass), Vojo (guitar), and a seemingly endless supply of guest musicians.
